Meet the Committee

  • Kylie

    CHAIR

I first became involved with the preschool as a parent in January 2022 and volunteered to join the committee in November 2022.

I moved to Suffolk a year ago from London with my husband and three children. I have previous experience in Childcare, Administration and Customer Service roles and I am now a full time Carer to my 6 year old son who has complex needs, I run a Personal Health Budget for my son and manage a team of Carers.

In my spare time I enjoy helping others, photography and watching my eldest son play rugby on freezing cold Sunday mornings!

Hi, I am Bryony. I am now the treasurer for Debenham Roundabout Preschool. I am currently a stay-at-home Mum, and my daughter goes to preschool two days a week.

  • Corrine

    SECRETARY

    drpssecretary@gmail.com

Hi everyone, my name is Corrine. I joined the committee in November 2022. My daughter previously attended the Preschool.

I have previously volunteered for women’s and children’s charities. Looking forward to meeting you while volunteering with the committee.

  • Emily

    HEALTH & WELBEING CO-ORD

My name is Emily Robbins and I have a daughter that attends and loves the preschool. I own a florist on Debenham high street but previously worked for many years as a deputy at an early years setting, with children aged 6 months to 4 years. I chose to join the committee to support the running of such a great preschool and help with fundraising events.

  • Zoe

    FUNDRAISING CO-ORD

Hi, I’m Zoe. I’ve been a member of the pre-school committee since September 2022, and have a daughter who loves coming to the preschool. Other than being a mummy to my two daughters (and the dog, of course!) I work as a physiotherapist in the NHS.

  • Dugald

    MAINTENANCE CO-ORD

I became involved with the preschool in January 2022 before becoming a committee member in November 2022.

In my spare time, I work for an international bank in London as well as coaching my eldest son's rugby team for Stowmarket Rugby Club. I moved back to Suffolk post an extended gap year of 20 years where I spent some time in the British Army and working for many banking institutions.

Outside of work and volunteering, I manage to find some time to read, take in walks around Suffolk, photography, and writing of which I have published one fiction story and maintain a blog for my middle child's complex needs that is now so far along he should probably step up and write it himself.

Roundabout pre-school is run by an elected committee, which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. As well as being responsible for reviewing policy and practice, and for the employment and appraisal of staff members, the major focus of our committee is fundraising.

All of these positions are voluntary and the pre-school relies heavily upon the enthusiastic support that the members give. Minutes from the committee meetings are available from the pre-school and the committee will also send out requests for help with various events that may be coming up.

If you are interested in becoming a member of our committee, or becoming involved in our fundraising efforts, please do not hesitate to contact us.
