Week Beginning 18th December 2017

Today we will be playing some Christmas party games and having a visit to the Library.  There will be no session at Pre-school tomorrow (Tuesday 19th) but we look forward to seeing you all at our Christmas party (10 – 11.30am) in the Primary School hall.

We hope you all have a lovely Christmas break and look forward to seeing you again in the new year.  The Spring term starts on Thursday 4th January 2018.

Trousers & Socks

If anyone has any socks and boys trousers they no longer need/want we would be happy to have them, we seem to have a shortage of ‘spares’ at the moment.

Many thanks.

Fun in the snow!

Today we played out in the snow which was lots of fun!  We talked about how we could to stay safe, by wearing lots of warm clothes and not to run as it was slippery!  However, best of all was making snowballs to throw at the grown ups!  We later had a story ‘Henry’s Holiday’ and we talked about if we preferred the weather when it was hot and sunny or cold and snowy.
We are also delighted to inform you all that we had an engineer in today, and our telephone and internet are now back up and running again!

We currently have no telephone, if you need to contact us we do have access to our email at the moment or please call Sir Robert Hitcham Primary School office on 01728 860201, sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

Week Beginning 11th December 2017

This week we will be doing lots more Christmas activities.  In the water we can do some counting and in the sand we can experiment with mark making.

The activities this week will include:  making paper plate polar bears, woodland play, painting wreaths, making snowmen, making snowflake tree decorations and making spinning Christmas pictures.

This week is our last full week at Pre-school before Christmas, next Monday (18th) is a normal day at Pre-school and Tuesday (19th) is the Christmas party (10.00 to 11.30am in the school hall) – please note there are no Pre-school sessions on Tuesday (19th).

A Visit to the Library

This morning we all visited the Library.  We had a little time when the children looked at a book themselves or asked an adult to read it to them, then Pip read a book to us all.

Week Beginning 4th December 2017

This week Pre-school is looking Christmassy.  We have some Christmas items and the Nativity on the table for the children to play with.  In the sand we can play with a toy house and people, in the water we have bubbles, whisks and pippettes.

The activities this week will include:  a Library visit, making a Christmas post box, making Christmas cards, woodland play, making paper chains to decorate Pre-school, making Christmas wreaths, melted Snowmen biscuits, practicing the concert and the actual concert!
