Yesterday the children went for a walk and noticed some blossom on the trees, this morning they painted some blossom for the ‘seasons tree’ in Pre-school.
Within the past 24 hours we have received some very exciting news! Firstly, today we have received a wonderful donation of £500.00 from Farthing Funeral Service in Debenham to get us underway for the garden project. We invited Liz and Andrea from Farthings to come and meet the staff and children and we had a photo opportunity as a group to celebrate! They are delighted to be able to help a local charity and we have invited them to come again to see us, especially when the garden is finished!
Secondly, we have been accepted on to the Community Token Scheme at the Co-op. From the 1st April to the end of June Debenham, Framlingham and Eye shops we will have a collection box in each store for customers to donate their tokens. We are hoping this will also make a good financial contribution to the garden project.
This afternoon we made some pretty Easter Eggs by blowing painty ping pong balls across some Egg shaped paper.
With some of our Pupil Premium funding we have been able to purchase this lovely new rug, it is bright and colourful and comfortable to sit, play and lay on. We can also learn about some road signs as we play.
This week we are talking about Easter. In the water we have a car wash and in the sand we can go on a bug hunt!
The activities this week will include: Easter Egg hunt on the field, mirror play and feelings books, Eggy painty ping pong ball pictures, painted Easter Eggs, goop, junk modelling, Easter Egg sun catchers, Easter shaving foam and letter bags/kim’s game.
This morning we had a Red Nose hunt in the woods with our friends from Nursery. We have collected an amazing £25.66 thank you to all who donated.
Investigating the magnets today! Which ones will ‘stick’ together and which ones won’t?
This week we are counting things we can find in different outdoor environments e.g shells, conkers, pine cones etc. In the water there are lots of bottles and jugs, in the sand we can fill small bottles and containers using small scoops and dry sand.
The activities this week will include: P.E. Animal Boogie, playing number board games, woodland play, using the sensory room, using the rhyming pots, making hand print pictures, playing with the parachute, meeting with Nursery for Red Nose Day and searching for shapes in the woods.
Thank you to everyone who has brought in vouchers, we have 434 so far (which is amazing!). We would like to replace our tunnel for the garden, to do this we need 614, we are so very nearly there. If you could all keep collecting we should reach our target.
Many thanks again.
