Australia Day

Over the past few days, we have been looking at our globe to see where Australia is in recognition of Australia Day which was on 26th January.   We were over the moon to have been lent some Australian books, toys and flags.   We have learnt the names of some new animals and been singing some new songs including ‘Waltzing Matilda’ and ‘Kookaburra sits in an old gum tree’.     Today at snack time, we tried some delicious chocolate biscuits that are popular in Australia and we also had Vegemite on our bread!
