We also played ‘follow the King or Queen’, the children copied the actions of the King or Queen as they went around the garden.
This afternoon we had a party for the Queen’s 90th Birthday, we played some games and had a tea party. One of the games was ‘place the crown on the Queen’ .
The children made some menu cards for the café today, they drew the food then wrote the word.
Today we did some throwing, catching and running in the sun.
Welcome back to Pre-school, we hope you all had a lovely half-term holiday.
This term we are looking at the Letters and Sounds Programme, this week we are focussing on Aspect 1 – ‘Environmental Sounds’ and using our listening skills.
We have noticed that a lot of the children like to pretend to take food orders from the grown-ups so we have a cafe in Pre-school that the children can take orders and serve food in.
In the water this week we can play in the car wash and in the sand we have horses and a stable.
The activities this week will include: Making crowns for the street fayre procession, P.E. throwing and catching and racing, Forest School activity, making a special card, making menu’s for the pre-school café, playing sound lotto, blow painting and having a Queen’s tea party with games and music.
