Week beginning 27th April 2015

This week we’re talking about the letter ‘t’ and it’s sound!

In the sand we can dig and fill pots, bottles and jugs.  In the water we can fish for numbers.

Some of this weeks activities include:  making ‘unusual’ dough, story sacks, spiders webs, wheel prints, music session, P.E., musical instrument matching, goop dinosaurs, cutting and sticking and Pixie robot shapes.

Sad News

We’re really sorry to tell you that our lovely rocking horse was taken from our garden at the weekend. He had been a part of our pre-school for many years and had recently been given a ‘make-over’ by Jane and Brian (Leo and Polly C.’s parents). We are all so very sad and angry that someone could be so heartless as to steal from a charity looking after young children. The police are aware and please let us know if you see a horse like ours advertised anywhere. Let’s hope he can be found soon.

Week beginning 20th April 2015

This week we’re talking about the letter ‘a’ and it’s sound.

In the water we can bath the babies and in the sand it’s ‘Bob the Builders’ yard.

Activities this week include:  writing a letter to Kilda Koala, making Apple crumble, music session, story sacks, shaving foam, using the light table, Apple tree song/game and rhyming pots.

First Aid Training!

The staff have been updating their First Aid Training and were suprised to find out that children are most likely to choke on whole grapes and cherry tomatoes,  we were advised that these should be cut into quarters for children’s lunch boxes.
